Description
Although François has deep roots in Meursault, his maternal side of the family is from Pommard. The Pommard fruit comes from the Les Combes lieu-dit. The Les Combes vineyard is split between 1er Cru on the upper portion and village on the lower portion. The grapes for this bottling come from the upper portion of the village vineyard, which is located just across a small vineyard road from the 1er Cru. The vines range in age from 10-49 years of age. The wine is aged one year in barrel, 20% of which is new oak, and then six months in a tank prior to bottling. Bright and cheerful with lots of blackcurrant and raspberry flavors.
