Description
Although François has deeps roots in Meursault, his maternal side of the family is from Pommard. The Pommard fruit comes from the Les Combes lieu-dit. The Les Combes vineyard is split between 1er Cru on the upper portion along with village on the lower portion. The grapes for this bottling comes from the upper portion of the village vineyard and is located just across a small vineyard road from the 1er Cru. The vines range in age of 10-49 years of age. The wine is aged 1 year in barrel, 20% of which is new oak and then 6 months in tank, prior to bottling. Bright and cheerful with lots of blackcurrant and raspberry flavors.
