1. Age Verification

You must be 21 years of age or older to purchase alcohol from amitiewines.com. By placing an order, you confirm that you are of legal drinking age in your state or jurisdiction. Amitié Wines reserves the right to cancel any order where age cannot be verified. All wine shipments require an adult signature upon delivery.

2. Who We Are

Amitié Wines is a licensed wine importer and retailer based in Encinitas, California. We import and sell small-production Burgundy and Champagne directly from family domaines in France.

3. Orders & Payment

All orders are subject to availability. We reserve the right to cancel or limit any order at our discretion, including in cases of pricing errors, stock discrepancies, or suspected fraud. Payment is processed at the time of order. We accept major credit cards via our secure checkout. For pre-arrival orders placed by email, payment is processed via a secure link sent by Amitié Wines directly.

Prices are listed in US dollars and are subject to change without notice. We are not responsible for pricing errors and reserve the right to cancel orders placed at incorrect prices.

4. Shipping & Delivery

We ship wine to most US states where direct-to-consumer wine shipping is permitted by law. It is your responsibility to confirm that wine shipments are legal in your state before placing an order. We cannot ship to states that prohibit direct wine shipment.

Free shipping is offered on orders of 12 or more bottles to the continental US. Orders under 12 bottles are subject to standard shipping rates calculated at checkout.

All wine shipments require an adult signature (21+) at the time of delivery. If no adult is available to sign, the carrier will attempt redelivery or hold the package at a local facility. Amitié Wines is not responsible for packages that cannot be delivered due to failed signature attempts.

Estimated delivery times are provided at checkout and are not guaranteed. We are not responsible for delays caused by carriers, weather, or circumstances beyond our control.

Risk of loss and title for wine purchases pass to you upon delivery to the carrier.

5. Pre-Arrival Orders

Some wines are offered on a pre-arrival basis — meaning payment is collected before the wine arrives in California. Pre-arrival orders are final and non-refundable once confirmed. Estimated arrival dates are provided in good faith but are not guaranteed. In the rare event that a wine becomes unavailable after a pre-arrival order has been placed, we will offer a full refund or a credit toward a future order.

6. Returns & Refunds

Due to the perishable nature of wine and applicable alcohol regulations, all wine sales are final. We do not accept returns on wine purchases.

If your order arrives damaged or with a defect, please contact us within 7 days of delivery at jason.berry@amitiewines.com with a description and photographs of the damage. We will work to resolve the issue promptly, which may include a replacement or store credit at our discretion.

We are not responsible for damage caused by extreme temperatures during shipping, improper storage after delivery, or circumstances beyond our control.

7. Alcohol Compliance

Amitié Wines operates in full compliance with applicable federal and state alcohol laws. Wine is sold and shipped only to adults of legal drinking age. By completing a purchase you confirm that you are 21 or older and that the intended recipient of any shipment is also 21 or older.

Wine may not be purchased as a gift for a minor. Amitié Wines reserves the right to refuse service to anyone.

8. Promotions & Discount Codes

Promotional codes and discounts are valid for the period stated and may not be combined with other offers unless explicitly stated. We reserve the right to cancel or modify promotions at any time. Discount codes have no cash value and are non-transferable.

All content on amitiewines.com — including text, images, logos, product descriptions, and design — is the property of Amitié Wines and may not be reproduced, distributed, or used without our written permission.

Your personal information is collected and used solely to process your orders, communicate with you about your purchases, and — if you have opted in — send you updates about new wines and offers. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Amitié Wines shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of this website or purchase of our products. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from a purchase shall not exceed the amount paid for the relevant order.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes arising from your use of this website or purchase of our products shall be resolved in the courts of San Diego County, California.
