Description
The Wine
Marsannay sits at the northern tip of the Côte de Nuits — the gateway to Burgundy from Dijon, and the only village in the entire Côte with a genuine rosé tradition. While the rest of Burgundy treats rosé as an afterthought, Marsannay has produced it in significant quantities for generations. It is the appellation’s most distinctive and most overlooked style.
Yann Charlopin’s Marsannay Rosé is 100% Pinot Noir from organically farmed vineyards — the same meticulous approach he applies to every wine in the range. After a short maceration the fruit is pressed and the wine is aged in a combination of stainless steel and conical acacia wood botti. The acacia is a deliberate choice — it adds a subtle texture and a gentle roundness without the vanilla or toast character of oak, keeping the fruit precise and the profile fresh.
The result is a Burgundian rosé with real class — not the pale, neutral style of Provence, not the fruit-forward style of the south. Something more specific, more structured, and more interesting than either.

Red berries, grapefruit, white peach, a hint of rhubarb and crushed stone. On the palate — precise and lively with a light tannic grip and bright acidity. The acacia ageing adds a subtle roundness without weight. Long, fresh, mineral finish.
Service: 10–12°C. Grilled fish, summer vegetables, charcuterie, fresh goat cheese. A wine that works as an aperitif or at the table.
2022 Vintage Note
2022 was a warm, generous vintage across Burgundy — ideal conditions for producing rosé with ripe, expressive fruit and natural freshness. The warmth of the growing season gives the 2022 Marsannay Rosé more weight and fruit intensity than a cooler year would produce, without sacrificing the acidity that makes it food-friendly.
