Thanksgiving is Thursday, November 26. A turkey dinner puts a lot on the table, so we look for wines that go with all of it: Champagne to start, a fresh red for the main course, and a white for guests who prefer it.

Start with Champagne
Champagne is the easy way to start the day. It works with appetizers, and a bottle left open at the table works with turkey. Our Pierre Deville Primitif is the one we’d open first.
Red for the main course
Turkey, ham, stuffing, and cranberry sauce are easiest on a fresh red that doesn’t compete with the food. Côte de Brouilly is one of the ten Beaujolais crus, made from Gamay, and a good fit for the whole table. For Pinot Noir, red Burgundy is the classic partner for roast turkey and the dishes around it: stuffing, mushrooms, and cranberry sauce.
White for guests who prefer it
For a lighter white, start with the Aligoté or the Mâcon. For a richer white to go with turkey and butter-heavy sides, try the Saint-Romain or the Meursault.
The Thanksgiving Six
Six bottles for the table: Champagne to start, two whites, and three reds. Free shipping on this pack.
How much to buy
As a rule of thumb, plan on one bottle for every two guests at dinner, plus a bottle of Champagne for the first toast. If you’re unsure, please ask us.
Order by November 15th for delivery before Thanksgiving.
