Domaine Charlopin-Tissier
We are honored to introduce the 2017 Domaine Charlopin Tissier wines from Yann Charlopin, a young winemaker out of Morey-Saint-Denis from a family of winemakers with exceptional holdings up and down the Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune. Yann set out on his own and with the advice and help from mentor Jean-Marie Fourrier, he purchased the vineyards and the small Domaine in the old caves of Domaine David Clark in 2013. Yann practices organic farming, short fermentation using a ‘maceration à froid’ and a long, gentle elevage on fine lees. For a relatively new Domaine, Yann has made quite a splash and you can find his wines on Paris lists of Tour d’Argent, Frenchie, and here in California at Michelin *** restaurants The French Laundry, Quince and Singlethread, to name a few. Yann’s production is small and demand has been brisk, so grab yours while they are still available!
