Good Burgundy doesn’t have to start at $100. The wines on this page are made by the same producers, in the same cellars, as the Premier Cru and Grand Cru bottles elsewhere on our list. At this price, the difference is the appellation.
Charlopin-Tissier’s Marsannay and Côtes de Nuits-Villages come from the domaine that also makes Clos Vougeot. Mark Haisma’s Pernand-Vergelesses “Les Pins” is made in the same cellar as his Clos Vougeot and Morey-Saint-Denis Premier Cru. Le Grappin’s Hautes-Côtes de Beaune comes from 40-year-old Pinot Noir vines. Du Grappin’s Aligoté, Vézelay, and Mâcon-Villages are Le Grappin’s everyday wines. At the lowest prices, Buisson-Battault’s Aligoté, Bourgogne Rouge and Blanc come from the family that makes the Meursault we carry.
