Description

The wine

The same wine as the sold out 750ml Le Cépage — 100% Grand Cru Verzy Pinot Noir from massale selection vines planted between 1961 and 1971, barrel fermented, zero dosage — in the format that ages most gracefully. A magnum has a lower ratio of wine to oxygen exposure through the cork than a 750ml, which means the wine develops more slowly and arrives at its peak in better condition.

For a structured Blanc de Noirs with real grip and mineral character from Grand Cru chalk, the magnum is the optimal format — whether for a serious occasion, a cellar with a long view, or a gift that signals genuine knowledge.

Everything is fermented and aged in barrel — old oak barriques and large oak foudres for the reserve wines.
