Grand Cru is the highest classification in Burgundy — applied to 33 specific vineyards across the Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune that have been recognised as producing wine of exceptional and consistent quality. Grand Cru wines represent less than 2% of all Burgundy production. In Champagne, Grand Cru refers to the seventeen villages classified at 100% on the historic quality scale.
At Amitié, Grand Cru wines come from both regions. In Burgundy: Domaine Amiot’s Clos de la Roche — named Vigneron de l’Année 2026 by the Guide Hachette des Vins — and Mark Haisma’s and Charlopin-Tissier’s Clos Vougeot from the upper section of the enclosure. In Champagne: Pierre Deville and Adrien Renoir both farm exclusively in Grand Cru Verzy on the Montagne de Reims.
